Here’s an overview of the new features SketchUp 2025 has to offer:
- Enhanced Visualization
With the latest version of SketchUp, visualization becomes more realistic than ever. Thanks to photo-realistic materials and environments, you can create designs that mimic the right atmosphere and lighting. Materials behave realistically in different lighting conditions. You can even use generative AI to create textures from photos of materials. This not only makes your work easier, but also more powerful.
- Premium Content Libraries
The new Content Libraries in the 3D Warehouse give you access to sophisticated, organized libraries of configurable models and high-quality materials. From furniture to building elements, you now have quick access to everything you need for your projects without wasting time searching.
- Better Interoperability
SketchUp 2025 makes it easier to collaborate with other design software. IFC import and export have been greatly improved, making import times faster and file sizes smaller. Also, the Revit importer allows you to easily import Revit files without needing Revit itself. This allows for smoother exchange of data within BIM workflows.
- LayOut Improvements
LayOut has also received some useful updates. There are now standalone Move, Rotate, and Scale tools that make LayOut more flexible. In addition, navigation has been improved, allowing you to browse through your documents faster and more accurately. Printing and exporting is also now easier and more predictable.
