During the Autodesk AutoCAD (LT) basic training you will learn the basic functionalities of AutoCAD (LT). After this course, you will be able to create professional two-dimensional engineering drawings.

The course is taught by an experienced and certified trainer at one of the ICN Training Center’s training locations. This training lasts 4 days and afterwards you will receive an Autodesk certificate to prove that you are skilled in Autodesk AutoCAD (LT). Training days are always from 9:30am to 4:00pm and coffee, tea, and lunch are included in the price.

Training Information

This training is conducted by a certified trainer from ICN Training Center at one of their training locations.

Training duration:

The AutoCAD (LT) Basic training lasts 4 days from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Prerequisite Knowledge:

This course is aimed at beginners, so knowledge of AutoCAD (LT) is not required. You do need experience with Microsoft Windows.

Included in the price:

Autodesk teaching materials.
Each training room has complete CAD workstations for the students. These are equipped with the Autodesk software required for the training.
Coffee, tea, soft drinks and water.
Lunch.
Autodesk Certificate.
Opportunity to ask questions up to 1 month after the training.

Training content:

In this training you will learn the basics of AutoCAD. The training covers the interface, toolbars, tool palettes, dropdown menus, use of keyboard and mouse, and the XY coordinate system.

You will learn drawing commands, such as drawing (poly)lines, rectangles, circles and arcs. You will also learn about the various possibilities of entering distances and how edit commands work, such as modifying elements with Erase, Copy, Move, Rotate, Mirror, Trim, Extend, Offset, Chamfer, Fillet and Array.

You gain insight into drawing settings, such as Layers with Linetypes and Colors, Properties and Quickselect, Object Snaps, Snap, Grid and Ortho, and Zoom and Pan. You will also learn how to set up a basic drawing (template).

You will also learn about Blocks (symbols), creating, modifying and using blocks, blocks in other drawings and setting up a library. You will gain insight into general desk settings, such as adding frames and drawing heads, creating and modifying views, various scales, setting plotter, plotting and plot styles, and setting Tool Palettes.

You will learn how to create drafts, dimension drawings and move from model space to paper space with viewports. You will also learn how to share drawing work with the AutoCAD Mobile app, AutoCAD Web app and Shared Views. Finally, you will learn how to print 2D drawing work.
