During the Autodesk Revit Dynamo Basic training you will learn the basics of Dynamo. This is an open source programming language for the conceptual modeler. Among other things, this allows you to automatically place points and Families, and collect and monitor relationships between elements.

The course is taught by an experienced and certified trainer at one of the ICN Training Center’s training locations. This training will last for 2 days and afterwards you will receive an Autodesk certificate to prove that you are skilled in Autodesk Inventor. Training days are always from 9:30am to 4:00pm and coffee, tea, and lunch are included in the price.

Training Information

This training is conducted by a certified trainer through ICN Training Center at one of their training locations.

Training duration:

This training will last for 2 days from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Prerequisite Knowledge:

To do this training well, you already need basic knowledge of Revit and of Microsoft Windows. Do you not yet have much experience with Revit and are not yet familiar with all the basic functionalities? Then we recommend that you first take a Revit basic course.

Included in the price:

Dutch language teaching materials.
Each training room has complete CAD workstations for the students. These are equipped with the Autodesk software required for the training.
Coffee, tea, soft drinks and water.
Lunch.
Autodesk Certificate.
Opportunity to ask questions up to 1 month after the training.

Training content

In this Dynamo training you will learn about the following topics:

The Anatomy of Dynamo: working with the interface, nodes, data types and node states.
Building scripts: learn the standard principles of scripts, the structure of Revit and Dynamo and how to make scripts usable in the Dynamo Player.
Working with lists in Dynamo: learn how to query and separate data by criteria and how to apply operations to this data. You will also learn how to work with List Lacing and List Levels.
Working with data: inventory what is present in a model, edit the data present and link to excel. You will also copy data to certain parameters, put results of formulas into parameters and learn to work with dictionaries.
Additional Dynamo components: we also cover Codeblocks & DesignScript and packages.
