During the Autodesk Revit Family basic training, you will learn to create fundamentals in Families using examples. After attending this training, you will be able to create parametric Families that can be properly controlled in the project.

The course is taught by an experienced and certified trainer at one of the ICN Training Center’s training locations. This training is 1 day and afterwards you will receive an Autodesk certificate to prove you are skilled in Autodesk Revit Family. Training days are always from 9:30am to 4:00pm and coffee, tea, and lunch are included in the price.

Training Information

This training is conducted by a certified trainer from ICN Training Center at one of their training locations.

Training duration:

This training lasts 1 day from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Prerequisite Knowledge:

To properly attend this training, you already need basic knowledge of Autodesk Revit and of Microsoft Windows. Do you not yet have much experience with Revit and are not yet familiar with all the basic functionalities? Then we recommend that you first take a Revit Architecture basic course.

Included in the price:

Dutch language teaching materials.
Each training room has complete CAD workstations for the students. These are equipped with the Autodesk software required for the training.
Coffee, tea, soft drinks and water.
Lunch.
Autodesk Certificate.
Opportunity to ask questions up to 1 month after the training.

Training content

Several topics will be covered during the training:

Basics: such as working with a template and the influence of hosting. There will also be a focus on working with categories and sub-categories and working in the Family Editor.
Construction: we cover the construction of parametric families and the creation and application of Nested Families, nesting and linking geometry and parameters, and naming.
Data: working with parameters (shared/family, type/instance and discipline & groups) and simple formulas will also be discussed.
Materials: learn how to smartly assign materials.
Geometric functions: such as solids/voids, extrusion, revolve and sweep.
